What’s New at Casa de la Playa?
San Diego County is starting to return to normal. As of April, we have moved to the Orange Tier. Everything is more open now since this whole thing began. Restaurants are open for indoor dinning. Stores and shops are open. Summer is coming and the beaches are getting packed. Local movie theaters are also opening again.
Theme Parks like Disneyland, Legoland and Sea World are now open.
If you are planning to visit any of these parks on your next visit, be sure to go to their website to purchase tickets and get details.
Basic protocols are still in place. Social distancing is still to be respected and make sure to always have your mask with you.
At Casa, we still require masks to be worn outside of your room. Please continue to observe social distancing including when you are on the spa deck. The spa itself may only be occupied by one household at a time.
Mandated changes can happen quickly. As we follow the state and county guidelines, please contact the resort prior to arrival for the most recent Covid-19 updates.

Booking Your Time
Please be sure you have sent in your request form for 2022. The 2022 draw has already started and will conclude in October. If you have not booked your time for 2021, please call the Casa de la Playa office now. Available weeks are running out.
Things to do
The Conrad Prebys Arts Center – La Jolla Music Society. “Summerfest 2021” will run from July 30th to August 20th. Go to ljms.org to see what is scheduled during your next visit.
Bayfair – San Diego Bayfair and America’s Finest BBQ Festival is returning September 17-19, 2021 in Mission Bay. Three days of boat racing including the Grand Prix World Supercharged Hydroplanes. Barbeque and Craft Beer Festivals round out a great weekend.
KAABOO Music Festival is back. A huge 3-day music festival at Petco Park on September 17-19, 2021. The lineup is still being assembled but it has always been an incredible array of talent.
La Jolla Art and Wine Festival – Save the Date! October 9th & 10th 10am – 6pm. A free event! Live music, wine and beer garden, and amazing art. Featuring over 170 artists and craftsmen.
Painting and Vino – Schedule an art class the next time you come to town. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Check in with paintingandvino.com to reserve your spot.
